31 santa cross feeder steers presenting in forward store condition live weight range at assessment 366 -430kg full to average 368.8kg curfewed ( -8% ) projected for delivery. Steers have averaged 1.2kg daily weight gain over the previous four week period. All steers were mouthed at assessment two steers just cutting one tooth the balance milk teeth. Steers should have no problem finishing on either crop or grain, they are bunker trained and possess good compensatory weight gain.
